Immune dysregulation workshop Barcelona
From basics to clinics to advanced therapies
FOCIS Center of Excellence CIS-UB: Leading Innovation in Immunology
The CIS-UB (Clínic for Immunology along Sant Joan de Déu in University of Barcelona) is a joint initiative bringing together Hospital Sant Joan de Déu Barcelona, Spain’s leading pediatric hospital; Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, a national reference center for adult care; and the University of Barcelona, a top institution in biomedical teaching and research.
This strategic collaboration integrates patient care, research, and education to advance the diagnosis and treatment of immunological diseases in both children and adults. Through shared units and laboratories, the development of advanced therapies, and participation in international networks, CIS-UB strengthens Barcelona’s position as a hub for immunotherapy, transplantation, autoimmune disorders, and immunodeficiencies, while also training the next generation of specialists and researchers.
A strategic alliance

Shaping the future of Immune Dysregulation
The 4th Immune Dysregulation Workshop will bring together leading international experts for a unique meeting at the forefront of immune dysregulation research, diagnosis, and treatment.
This one-day scientific programme will explore the latest breakthroughs shaping the field, from novel approaches to advanced therapeutics—including allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, CAR T-cell therapies for autoimmune diseases, and gene therapy and gene editing—to cutting-edge advances in diagnosis and precision medicine.
Participants will gain insights into emerging challenges and opportunities in immune dysregulation, with sessions exploring gene mosaicism, single-cell analysis, cytokine profiling, and the evolving landscape of immune-targeted therapies. The programme will culminate in inspiring keynote lectures highlighting the frontiers of research and the future of the field.
Join us for an inspiring day where science, innovation, and clinical expertise come together to push the boundaries of immune dysregulation and shape the future of patient care.
At the end of this training you will be able to:
- Explore the latest advances in the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of immune dysregulation disorders.
- Discover innovative therapeutic strategies, including CAR T-cell therapies, gene therapy, gene editing, and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
- Explore emerging diagnostic approaches, from gene mosaicism and single-cell analysis to cytokine profiling.
- Foster international collaboration and exchange knowledge on the future of immune dysregulation research and patient care.
