2º Preceptorship in Autoinflammatory Diseases. Hospitality and innovation in a patient reference center: The Sant Joan de Déu Hospital Model

On behalf of Pediatric Rheumatology Division of Hospital Sant Joan de Déu, and especially of our Autoinflammatory Diseases Unit. After the successful event organized in year 2019, we are pleased to formally invite you to participate to the 2nd Preceptorship: Autoinflammatory diseases: Hospitality and Innovation in a patient reference center: the Sant Joan de Déu model.

The event will take place virtually on Monday 28th June, Wednesday 30th June, Monday 5th July and Thursday 8th, July 2021.

The purpose of this Preceptorship is to continue offering you a program that will enhance your knowledge on autoinflammatory diseases. Experienced speakers will share with you their knowledge, their clinical experience and the latest medical evidence. At the same time, we will share with you our expertise in research, patient care, working with patients and patient advisory groups. Our Institution is clearly committed to Innovation in daily clinical practice without losing key Hospitality values in patient care.

  • To know the main autoinflammatory diseases, their genetic basis, pathophysiology and patient care.
  • To know the operation and organization of a referral unit in autoinflammatory diseases.

Session 1: Monday June 28th

  2. Inflammasome a folk to rediscover.
  3. FMF a new world for an old disease.

Session 2: Wednesday June 30th

  1. Innovation: SJD Cortex center.
  2. Deficiency of adenosine deaminase 2 (DADA2) a multiple face disease.
  3. Hands on Inferferon overexpression studies.
  4. Questions and answers.
  5. CRIA syndrome.

Session 3: Monday July 5th

  1. Approach to the patients with unexplained autoinflammatory disease, there is light at the end of the tunnel.
  2. Set in bone: chronic non-bacterial osteomyelitis and beyond.
  3. Tuning diagnosis through imaging: CNO radiological findings.
  4. Questions and answers.
  5. Bring your case: CNO immunological findings.

Session 4: Thursday July 8th

  1. Macrophage activation síndrome, quick recognition quick treatment.
  2. Still disease, the adult's perspective.
  3. Interpheronopathies, a map not to get lost.
